The Prayer Project. Growing Kids Who Pray.

At LP Kids, we want kids to do more than learn about prayer—we want to help raise up kids who pray.

Prayer discipleship begins with even our youngest kids. In our Early Childhood classrooms, leaders intentionally model simple prayer, invite kids to pray along with them, and help them begin understanding an important truth: I can talk to God, and God cares about what I have to say.

As our kids grow, so do the opportunities we give them to practice prayer. Beginning in 5K, kids are introduced to age-appropriate elements of The Prayer Project, including creative, hands-on prayer experiences that help them talk with God, pray for others, and connect prayer with what they are learning and experiencing.

Our main Prayer Project area is located in the 3rd–5th grade lobby, where the monthly experience changes throughout the year. Our older kids also have opportunities to gather for intentional prayer—praying for others, our church, and our services while learning what it means to intercede on behalf of others.

From simple prayers modeled with our littlest kids to older elementary students beginning to pray for others and their church, our goal remains the same: Every child’s prayer matters, and every child can begin growing a life of prayer. We want to model prayer, pray with our kids, give them opportunities to pray, and help raise up a generation of kids who pray.
